Lignetics Pellets

Lignetics wood pellets are manufactured in two locations, Idaho and West Virginia. They are manufactured from waste residuals of trees harvested for lumber production.

Lignetics Wood Pellets

I have burned Lignetics and found them to be excellent. They are a little pricier than other brand but if you have ever burnt a crappy brand then you know the few extra dollars is worth it.

If you have any comment or reviews about Lignetics you may want to mention your brand of stove and of it is a drop or bottom feed model.

have been burning lignetics pellets for last ten years when they are available in my area .would like to buy them directif possible. i live in wilmington delaware, does anybody know who i could contact that would have the info that i need?

I paid 1200 for 4 tons of Lignetics this year. They are coming at the end of the month. I have been looking to find anywhere in Massachusetts who has pellets by the bag as it has suddenly turned cold here… and guess what? No luck what-so-ever.

This will be my 4th season heating with pellets. I have a 2800 sq ft house and it keeps us toasty warm all winter (downstairs about 68 and upstairs about 71). We love it and it has given us zero grief but has saved a lot of money over our previous oil bills. The only down side that I had experienced would be what other have said about losing some bags here and there due to moisture. Keep them in your garage or in a shed… even what appears to be a think mil pallet cover will still have the potential for leaks…

    Folks,
I sent off an email to Lignetics to ask which distributors they ship pellets. I thought this may be of good use to all of us, so here I am…sharing!
I’ve not used this brand but they sure are getting high reviews on our little site here.

        James,
As a dealer what is your take on any shortages this season? Everyone seems to have a pretty good supply at the moment unlike the past few seasons.

        • James Opfer says:

I believe every dealer is doing the same thing we have done…pre-bought a whole bunch in hopes we don’t run out…..In the event you are unable to find any, feel free to call us. Unlike all other dealers ***WE DO NOT AND WILL NOT INCREASE OUT PRICE*** due to shortage of pellets…..The only time we will increase our price is if our cost goes up!!!!!!

From my limited exprience with my new Thelin Parlour stove.

    Hamer’s “Hot Ones”
The guy who installed my stove said these were his pick for “best” and left me several bags of these. I see why. Low fines, low ash, no clinkers, very clean, excellent heat. Hard to find but highly recommended.

    WalMart Pennington Nature’s Heat pellets
The codes stamped on the backs of the bags are “LOT 619″ and “VA11108.” Pelltes are almost twice as long as the Hamer pellets. Dirty/sooty, mediocre heat, leave lots of heavy ash and “crud” in the basket. These are what I would burn in an emergency if I could not get anything else. Beats shivering. Maybe.

    Lignetics
By far the VERY best pellets I have used. Not enough fines to say there are any, burn VERY hot and VERY clean, very little VERY fine ash and no clinkers, chunks or gobs of anything else to deal with. Getting hard to find pellets period. I grab 5-10 bags of these any time I run across them. I like ‘em.

I have no place to store a ton of pellets so I have to buy them by the bag (OUCH!). Even so and at ~$7/bag the Lignetics are a bargain compared to the Penningtons.

    • James Opfer says:

That is a shame you had to pay such a high price for the pellets…..Feel free to call us next time. Always great pricing!!! Pick up Or we can deliver!!!!

Thank you Nicole, To tell you the truth I’m disappointed in the pricing of this years pellets..Last year Lowes had a summer price of 259.00 a ton in bags,,,this year no discount in the ton pricing just 5.97 a bag or 300.00 per ton …With oil at 2.00 to 2.25 a gal I find no savings in burning pellets..even last year at 259 + 15 a ton delivery i broke even…not including the cost of the stove…I hope that the increase cost of pellets is not going to kill the pellet industry like the coal businesses in the 90’s when the price of oil dropped
Please pass my feelings along to your upper management …Bill

I just had 3-ton Lignetics Pres-to-Logs delivered today. They came from Lowe’s in Waterford, CT at a cost of $249/ton plug $85 for delivery.
I’ve been burning wood pellets for the past 7-years and have tried several different brands – some good and some bad. I heard good things regarding Lignetics pellets but have never tried them so when I called Lowe’s last week and they told me that they had these in stock I figured I would give them a shot.

To date these have been some of the brands I’ve tried and rated on a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being bad and 5 being excellent:
(rating is based on burn rate, clinkers, ash rate and burn temperature)
New England Wood Pellets – 5
    Energex – 4.5
    Fireside – 3
    Green Team Pellets – 3
    Sumerset Pellets – 2

  14. Mark says:

My Brother and I bought several tons of the Lignetics each for the 2008 season and although they produced very good heat they also produced a large quantity of ash. Our stoves had to be cleaned after a few bags. My brother had been using them for a few years and had said they produced very little ash. Last year was the first he had this problem. I have a Harman stove that has served me well and this was the first time I actually saw ash backing up against the glass after a few bags. I guess last years batch may have had some inferior wood products that was mixed in. I may try a bag or 2 to see if this problem has cleared up in this years batch before I purchase my yearly 2 to 3 tons .

    • Mark says:

Yes Presto Logs are produced from the same company. I amy try a few bags first. I called Pellet sales .com and they package thiers for over 2 tons $700 or under two tons for $400 somthing. I just wanted a decent product for a decent price and 2 tons. Shipping was $40.00

Where can I find Lignetics pellets?

I’ve had a pellet stove for 2 years. Over the last 2 seasons I’ve tried 5 brands of pellets (trying to find the best performing brand). Last year, I used Ozark Hardwood and Lignetics. The Ozark were good, but the Lignetics were the best pellets I’ve tried. They produced less ash and provided more heat per bag than any other brand. The Lignetics were more expensive, but I’d be willing to buy up.

Tractor Supply does not carry them this year. Lowe’s does not have them available and will carry a pine pellet. I’ve sent multiple e-mails to Lignetics, but they have not responded to my request for a local retailer.

Anyone know where I can find Lignetics? I’m in the Bentonville Arkansas area.

    • Kevin says:

Fred, I just picked up my first ton of Lignetics Wood Pellets from the Tractor Supply in Flanders NJ rte 206n @ $259 p/ton.(couple of miles north of Larsons turkey farm). They have an outside contractor willing to deliver ,the delivery cost for me was $100 for 2 tons ,as im in woodbridge nj, i decided to take a couple of rides with the pickup instead of delivery. Most likely cheaper for you in White House Station. The Tractor Supply in Ringoes also carries pellets and may be closer to you.

All, have only been burning for three years now and this is my only heat source in a 1200sq ft 1.5 story house(small). Using an Englander stove .with Lignetics being the sixth different brand of pellet i’ve used.Greene Team,Natures Own,Tidy Timbers,Clean Energy, and a Canadian brand from Bartells in Clark NJ ,Energex.

So far the Lignetics Premium are the best insofar as fines, ash content, and consistency of size. They are not as hot burning as other brands that i’ve used including Greene Team or Clean Energy, but this may have to do with the amount of pelllets fed to the stove (the only feed rate i’ve used is #1 the lowest),being that Lignetics size seems to be the most consistent. So Lignetics may last longer, unsure as of now.

Overall, everyone that burns may have different needs .Folks may burn on weekends ,some at night, and others full time in all size homes. Therefore some brands may suit some more than others. That being said, Tidy Timbers is last on my list from above, the rest are good in there own way.

I’m liking Lignetics best so far. They are living up to the expectations.

      • Kevin says:

EDIT: Correction, The Canadian brand is Boreal from Quebec, and not Energex.

Ithaca Agway has a good selection of pellets. They have dry creek, instantheat, barefoot, and lignetics. I have energex from Martins outdoor power in fayette. I have been testing other brands against energex. I found instant heat to have a very good heat output ash wasnt to bad. They were hard to keep lit on low but that could easily be inexperience with the restrictor. Seneca Farm Supply in Seneca Falls has Instantheat for $240 a ton. I also tried barefoot and dry creek from Ithaca Agway. They seemed to perform fine but the cost is significant compared to InstantHeat. Dry Creek Had alot of ash compared to energex. I would like to try some softwood pellets. Anyone know any suppliers in Upstate NY?

  22. Tony says:

I purcheced my 1 ton of lignetics pellets at the Agway in Ballston Spa NY and so far they are superior that most brands I have used I would love to try Dry Creek to see If there is any diffrence..Lignetics a two bag in the hopper will last for 58 hours non stop at low to medium setting and keep the house at a comfortable 70″

    Hi,
This is the second season we are burning Lignetics wood pellets. They are
a bit pricy but worth it. We have 5 tons to carry us through the season.
We were fearful that mid season we wouldn’t be able to get any.We have a Dura Fire pellet stove and are happy with it. This is the start of our third season burning pellets. We have our pellets delivered by Eastern Connecticut Pellet Sales – 860-468-4544. Jeff gives excellent service and they also have a web site. Just type in Eastern Connecticut Pellet Sales. I stumbled on his site three years ago and am so happy. He intruduced us to Lignetics and we will burn them as long as he carries them. Hope this info helps anyone in my area. Sincerely, Jane

    Good morning all,
I am looking for Lignetics Pellets this year as I have now burned the last of the Walmart brand, very disappointed. Or is that the price for my area?

I have been burning lignetics pellets for the last 10 years…The burned really good a very small amount of ash…I have the older pellet stove…the ash needs to be scooped out of the tray..the newer stoves clean out the tray automatically and the ash drops below the tray.it used to be i could run my stove about 10 hours before i got 3 tablespoons of ash…I bought a load of pellets this past october…There is so much ash content that my stove cannot run…now i have to clean it out once an hour…there is so much ash it flows over the top of my tray and gets compacted tightly….It is plugging up my stove…I have to watch my stove once an hour verses every 10 hours last year..There is no problem with my stove….I have a dozen bags left from last year, when i put one of those into my stove there is no problems…I also cleaned out the stove before each use..including the pipes…Lignetics used to be the best.Next heating season i will avoid the lignetics brand!…George

I just burned my first bag of Lignetics today, and I am soooo impressed! We have burned Green Supreme in the past and just finished a ton of another pellet that I was so disappointed in, I can’t even remember the name. The difference between my last bag of the junk pellets and the Lignetics is amazing. My pellet stove is actually heating my whole house and my oil furnace has not come on all day! The old pellets seemed to only heat the room the stove was in to about 68 degrees and the heat was still coming on. I thought there was something wrong with my stove! Now I know it was the pellets! I will never buy anything but Lignetics again, and for $275 a ton, it is well worth the price!!

  37. Ernie says:

Here at Dutch Country Hardware we sell Lignetics ($245/Ton) and Hamer ($237/Ton) as of 02/01/10. Both manufacturers are members of the Pellet Institute.

Both are good pellets. I burned both in my England Stove and my son burned both in his stove. He measured the heat out put with a digital thermoter using the same settings on the stove…….The result after burning 5 bags of each…..The Hamer Pellets (1/2% ash) ran consisantly 25 degrees hotter!! Both are members of the Pellet Institute………

  38. larry says:

I bought six tons of Lignetics this year after reading so many positive reviews, I must say that I’m disappointed. I’m having the same issue of excessive ash and clinkers build up that some others have reported.
I am burning a Quadrafire 1200, this is my second year. The firepot will fill about 40% with debris after EACH bag. We have to clean the glass daily, the ash turns it black.
Last year I burned five tons of Pennington with much better results, very little ash, could clean the firepot and glass after two or three bags. The Lignetics will choke off the air supply and smoulder smoke into the house if I fail to clean it for a day.
I just bought a ton of Pennington to see if the problem is in my stove and the performance is much better. I believe that the heat output is better as well, although this is a subjective opinion- I really don’t have any measurement of the heat other than what makes the house feel comfortable.
I see many posts here from administrator and from retailers to “contact Lignetics” because nobody has trouble with their pellets. I wrote to Lignetics 2 weeks ago and they didn’t reply.
Has anyone else had similar experience that they have been able to resolve, or do I just mix different brands of pellets for a while until I burn up this trash?

    Larry

    • fresco says:

I have a Quadrafire 1200 and just burned 4 bags of Lignetics for a test. They produce the least amount of ash I have ever seen. Four bags almost less than a cup….total. Could it be a stove issue?

    • John says:

In the past and present I’ve had good results with Lignetics pellets ie low ash, high heat output. This season I am burning Lignetics again and in general I’ve noticed slightly more ash and clunkers. Burning the 1st 3-tons of Lignetics pellets I’ve had no real issues, I am on my 4th ton now and I’ve noticed with some of the pellet bags, the pellet sizes are larger than 1.5″ in length and I’ve had more ash and clunkers relative to the 1st 3-tons. In fact my stove has gone out twice using the 4th ton of pellets (and I clean it once a week whether it needs it or not). When I snapped the pellets they didn’t snap crisp, there could be more moisture in this ton of pellets than the 1st 3-tons; I don’t have a meter to verify. I’ve noticed that pellet’s minor quality varies from year to year, with manufacturer’s varying raw material supplies, and the how the re-sellers store the pellets and combination of the weather. Last year “Wood Pellets” brand burned like this year’s Lignetics and this year’s “Wood Pellets” brand burned like last year’s Lignetics. I believe that the year-to-year pellet burn characteristics of any giving brand are going to be slightly different.

      • ken bowler says:

I’ve burned several brands of pellets when I couldn’t get the lignetics. Was so glad when I was able to purchase them this year I was disappointed in the performance this year. They were sootie and have to clean my Harmon stove every few days. Some bags are dark and hard & burn well. Others are light in color and soft. These burn sootie and lots of ash. They make my stove quite dirty. Company must have changed formula. They also won’t reply to e-mails.

    • Susan says:

Larry, My installer sells the Ligs. I bought them from him. They contacted Lignetics and the guy said yes they had a problem. Lots of new employees but it has been rectified now.

I want them to send me 10 bags of the new batch to see for myself. But they won’t do that. May end up looking for something else to burn.

  39. Mark says:

I go through 12 tons/year in my Amaizing Heat Boiler (heating 4000 sq. feet in upstate NY). Last year I used Dry creek, and ended up with about one metal trash can full of ash. This year I got Lignetics, and after 8 tons I’m up to two trash cans of ash. And yes, I’m getting the same firepot problems as Larry with chinkers and debris building up causing burning problems. It’s also MUCH dustier and more sensitive to moisture in the feed bin. I’m a professional Scientist/Engineer who’s worked in combustion research for a number of years so I do know how to adjust my boiler. Last year I picked out a few chinkers once every day or two, this year I’m at it twice a day to keep it running. Ouch. I’m glad in less intense burning situations folks are having no problems, but I can’t recommend them for high output systems.

Larry & Mark……if you can find some Hamer Ultra Premium pellets…..Pellet institute rated at 1/2 percent ash…….i believe you will find more heat, less ash and a great reduction in clinkers………..

I tried Lignetics brand this year, after hearing great things. I tried a few bags from the local hardware store that were good. I ordered from Lowes and they were horrible. only differeance was Lowes said presto logs and were in a different bag. Lignetics site shows both bags but no info.

    • EarthStove says:

We had been burning Lignetics for years and years in our EarthStove with very few issues. Last year we bought our first ton for the season in Sept and burned through them by the end of the year without a problem. Late last year we got our second ton…WOW what a complete mess. The bags were filled with fines like I have never seen before. I am still cleaning my stove and my surrounding family room. The stove did not run well at all and the ash was unbelievable. And worst of all the ash built up like a sponge on one side of the fire pot and would just clog everything up and then the pellets would start to smolder and it was a mess. I could not even run the stove on high for more than an hour at a time it was so bad.

I am looking elsewhere this year. After almost 10+ years of using these pellets I am sad to say they have left a bad taste in my mouth. :(

I’m looking for a good premium pellet anywhere in Iowa…..We have a new stove and have only tried Ozark (Menards) and Pro Pellets (local TSC)……Ozark burned hotter but lots of ash…Pro Pellets burn cleaner but lower heat output. Any suggestions? Would love to have a couple of tons for next winter, but don’t want to get stuck with some “bad burning” pellet.

  44. sherman says:

I’m new to this type of heating system. Last year I purchased 1 ton of Legnetics pellets and followed up with a few bags of other brands throughout the year. I must say that the Lignetics out performed every other brand that I purchased by leaps and bounds. It’s July and I have already purchased my first ton ($219.00) and plan on getting one more before long just to be ready for the winter.

I burned 4 tons of Lignetics last year and love them. Very little ash content and great heat. I live in Middlertown DE anyone know where I get some???? I bought them last year from tractor supply but they are carry different ones named hardwood heat and say they are Hamers.

    Anybody burn Green Team????

    • Bill says:

Final price after home depot and lowes lowered there prices…$175 a ton delivered ,,green team seems ok so far,,but not as good as presto log pellets made by lignetics…no contact from lignetics ?? will go back to them next year if available and not too pricey.. it’s up to you Lignetics….

  51. SteveL says:

I love Lignetics Premium Hardwood pellets and have used them for the last few years. Good heat and low ash. Could buy cheaper at Walmart or Home Depot but you get what you pay for. I stick with what works well. I still hope to hear more info from Jennifer on this issue with the fire. Her linked article just says they had a silo fire at the pellet plant and nobody was hurt. I’m guessing competitor (or employee of) or a disgruntled worker/friend of same until we hear otherwise and get more facts on her info source. I plan to buy another few tons of Lignetics for this season.

PS: Is smoke damage even an issue for a product you plan to burn?

  52. SteveL says:

According to the reply post from Sherry of the Lignetics Company, the referenced person “John U” is NOT telling the truth and is posing as an official from their company. If the company did indeed have a layoff, what are the odds John and Jennifer might be ex-employees? I’d put even money on that bet….

  53. Kevin says:

I just talked with Sherry and she said the pellets are 100% and if you do have a problem after you purchase then contact her directly and she will handle the problem herself. I for one think lignetics is the best product in the market and will continue to use them at $279.00 a ton. You can buy cheeper pellets, but thats what you get.

  54. EarthStove says:

Oh and about my above comment. I actually tried to call and leave emails to lignetics about the problem. No one ever got back to me.

I would like to know if some of the ash from your pellets could be used in my compost ?

    Thank you

  58. Ralph S. says:

Based on all of the comments I have heard, I wanted to compare the ash content of Hamers Hot Ones vs. Lignetics. Here are the results after burning 1 bag of each starting with a clean stove:

Hamer won hands down with approximately 1/4 of the ash content that Lignetics produced…No wonder my stove was getting caked up

  59. Larry says:

Lignetics—- when are you going to start making a quality product ! I’m so tired of Ash, Fines, & weird shapes and sizes coming out of your bags. The last bag I bought also had excessive moisture from holes in the bags, and would not light. My driver told me you are storing your pellets outside under tarps instead of in a warehouse. No wonder you are producing crap

    Larry

    • Vzsplicer says:

Lignetics = crap pellets. Just finishing last bag of last years ‘trial ton’ and I am SO glad they’re gone! YAY! PA Pellets were my first couple tons and were really my cleaner and HOTTER, imo. Running Harman Accentra insert. I’ve also used Barefoot pellets with very good results. With the PA pellets, I could keep the stove on low (1) and the feed on about 2 and it would keep the family room around 80 when it was around 20-30 outside. With the Lignetics, I had to have the stove on 5 (medium) to get the same heat, with a higher feed setting (also 5).

I have an Harman Accentra Insert. I been using Lignetics for the last 3 years. Ths season 2010 I got my 4 tons started burning them and they were fine. I noticed some of the pellet were darker in color and might have moisture in them. I went to the store and told them about it and they said to me they would replace any bags that have any moisture in them how do you tell if they have moisture unless you open them. As the pellets are burning the flame is lower alot more ash and making the glass dirty. Does anyone know how to tell if the bags are holding moisture? Would this come from Lignetics or is it how the dealer stored them? All’s I know I can’t deal with this problem all winter I’m hoping that the dealer will come and pick up the 4 tons and replace them with new pellets. Tobyhanna, PA

  64. Mary says:

Yup….will stop buying Lignetics. I had bags from last year that were fantastic…but this years batch are horrible. Tons of ash and fines, and I am burning a bag a day on the lowest settings, and it is only beginning of november. Since I had a few bags left over from last year, I compared…like two completely different products. I feel like I have been duped. It is pretty obvious to me that what is in this years bags is nothing like what was in previous years bags. As usual, greed wins….for now. I will not be buying these crappy pellets again, unless they can give me a decent explanation and/or replacement pellets….but from what I am reading, they don’t bother with customer service.

  65. Jim says:

Here in the sierra nevada of California I tore out the wood burning stove in my 1660 sq ft condo and repalced it with a pellet stove. I have been using Lignetics pellets the past two years and they work great. The forced air electric heater was killing me with electric bills near $250 per month. Now I only heat with the stove and my electric bill is consistenly $45-50 per month.
A ton of Lignetics pellets if bought locally in the summer will cost about $275. The ash from Lignetics is almost next to nothing. Simply amazing.

  66. Ed S says:

We just bought a used stove 2 weeks ago and 1st burned Lignetics. Had to call the stove manufacturer to figure out some of the settings and make some minor adjustments.
I ran out Thanksgiving day (my fault for not figuring the correct burn rate). But had to go to Walmart (only place open) and bought some bags of Remington. I will never ever use these again, if I can help it at all. These pellets melted and keep clogging up my burn pan. They clump up instead of ashing out.
I do not know if there is any other that compare to Lignetics. But for the price I can get them for. I will be sticking with them for now on.

  67. Jack says:

Purchased a bag of these to try out yesterday. After opening the bag I found lots of long pellets most are under the 1.5″ length but bairly. They do seem to break apart easy but I would be scared to run a full ton in fear of breaking the auger gears. I had a problem with NEWP’s long pellets last year breaking customers stoves.”NEWP has fixed there product this year”. The Lignetics seem to burn ok but if you hear lots of crunching or banging from your stove you might want to return them for shorter pellets.

  68. chuck says:

The lignetic with the green writing on the bag burn better then the blue one. I live in south jersery anyone sell barefoot or hamer within 50miles of chester P,A

  69. Doug says:

I’ve burned Lignetics for years and think they’re about the best. This year is different. I got the Blue Label bags not realizing a difference. One bag had so much powder in it that my auger was jammed and I had to replace the auger motor. The company I use to service my stoves said ” Oh you have Blue Label. They’re not as good.” That’s the truth.

  70. Toby H says:

Burning my first bag of Lignetics now. I can already tell they burn better than Somerset or Pennigton.Bought 5 bags today just to try. Ill be going back after a Ton.

  71. Don R says:

I live in the NW and decided to try Lignetics even if they were @$1.00 a bag higher than what I have been paying. I have been burning pellets for 15 years and the Lignetics are the worst pellets I have ever used. I get alot more ash and soot. I wish I hadn’t bought a ton. Unhappy and disappointed.

    • Chuck Isherwood says:

Don, Read your comments about wood pellets and the Lignetics brand. So many mixed reviews about them. Anyway, living in the Northwest you should check out this brand…..”Bear Mountain”. I lived in Montana and all I used and all the pellet stove dealer would carry were the Bear Mountains, a “VERY GOOD” quality pellet. They’re made from Douglas Fir and they burn hot and have little ash. I wrote the company to see if “maybe” they shipped back this way, Pa., but they don’t, to expensive. Bear Mtns are made out there either in Oregon or Washington. I’m positive you can find them, try them, they’re that good!!!

  72. Peter Araujo says:

Bought lingnetics hard wood pellets last year and love it .Can’t find a place to purchase now. I live in Kingston Ontario Canada aprox. 150 milles from Toronto and about the same from Ottawa .Could anybody help me please ? Thank’s .Peter

  73. Peter Araujo says:

Where in Canada can I buy your pellets. Canadian Tires had them until last year but not at present. Thanks Peter

  74. Ron James says:

Fourth year in a row of burning Lignetics pellets at the rate of 2 to 3 tons per year. Very happy with these pellets until this year. Almost burned a ton already and not happy with this batch. These are leaving a LOT more ash behind and it seems like a much finer ash. I am cleaning the stove every other day now (as opposed to every 3rd or 4th day previous years). The ash is blowing thru the system much further also. It has already plugged the flow tube twice. The latest bags also seem to be a much thinner plastic and we noticed that literally every other bag seemed to have really small holes in them (almost like a bunch of pin pricks). We always unload the bags off the pallets as soon as we get them home and store them in an enclosed front porch area. Also, we have bought these from the same dealer every time who stores them in enclosed buildings when he takes delivery. I am sure that the quality is not quite as good as it has been in the past. Next year I plan to try a different brand of pellet.

  75. Jim Dwyer says:

    Ron,
My driver told me Lignetics is still storing their pellets outside, trying to tarp the bags from rain and snow to keep them dry. I called them and talked to a manager but all he kept mentioning was that the bags were “corn-holed”, never did figure what he was talking about. I guess if there are holes poked in the bags, storing outside is probably a huge mistake. Although we currently carry the lignetics brand, I am encouraging my customers to buy Hamers since they are made from 100% hardwood unlike the lignetics brand. Lignetics has way too many problems and I am tired of getting partial bags returned from customers. This will be our last year of selling Lignetics.

  76. rob clark says:

Used to burn a lot of corn until prices shot through the roof!!!! Just went through a ton of tri-state biofuels pellet…No big clinkers but seems to have lots of ash. burnt them on high the whole time and I am sure I did not get the heat out of them that I did the corn:( Now I am trying a ton of lignetics…the first bag is going through now and it seems that the flame is looking really good…maybe a good sign. From most of the posts it sounds like lignetics might do the trick…I guess I will see. I just wish corn prices would come down:(

  77. Chuck Isherwood says:

Anyone know where I can find Lignetics around the Leechburg Pa. area. Lignetics never replys to questions!!!

  78. Tim says:

Anyone know the difference between the Lignetics pellets that are bagged under different names such as Lignetics Pellets vs Pres-to-logs pellets. Both are available to me locally and seem to burn the same, which is very good and better than anything else I have found available. The pres-to-logs seem to be a bit darker but some of the lignetics have been darker as well this year, but burn the same. I am interested in knowing the difference if there is one, because they are priced differently locally, and I am just wondering if that is because the retailers are different or if it is the pellets that are different. I burn about 8 to 9 tons a year in an outdoor pellet boiler.

    Tim – Orange County, NY

  79. L. L. Peterson says:

Are used pellets from stalls and chicken coops safe to use in my compost pile? Is the ash safe to use in my vegetable garden? Thanks

  80. S.A.Strate says:

First year using Lignetics, they don’t light very well as compared to other brands I have used in the past ( green team ). Once they are lit they burn fine. The jury is still out as to weather I will purchase them again .
