This is our 3rd season with our Harman 25, the first season we burned Energex from Canada. Very little ash, a lot of heat, was extremely happy. This year we purchased Corinth pellets and along with two other family members, these pellets had extremely low heat and a shocking amount of ash. Could not go more than 4 days without cleaning the stove. We called Corinth and they came to replace the remaining pellets with a "new" batch and was told they changed the "recipe" and they would much better. I'm sorry, but THIS NEW BATCH IS GARBAGE!!! I wanted to keep the business in Maine, but I will never buy Corinth pellets again and would advise against buying them to other people. We have wet, dark black soot on the inside of the pellet stove. Also the exhaust pipe had black soot all on the inside too. The other two family members had experienced the same issues with Corinth pellets.

We were told there is a study on pellets that was conducted on the best quality, premium pellets on the market. Has anyone heard of this study and know where to find it??

I burned the Corinth Pellets this year 2010-2011 and on several times both stoves went out, because due to a pot ash build up. Never again will I BUY THAT CRAP!!! I had to stay on top of cleaning the stoves every other day. I am now looking for new and cleaner pellets to burn. WD.

I live in Alaska and have used exclusively "Clean Burn " pellets from Manke.
Great heat, virtually no ash but guess what? Completely corroded my burn box in 4 weeks. englander gave me a new box. 4 weeks later same deal. Found some lignetics pellets, not as much heat, a lot more ash but no more corrosion.

corinth pellets are complete garbage. bought five tons. corrinth switched out 4 tons and after all the stacking and restacking the replacements are the same as the first ones. amanda from corinth and the ceo both try the same excuses with everyone as they did with me. i know because i read her threads on here and it's all the same crap. they tell each customer the same thing. it's like they rehersed for what they would say and what they would blame once the complaints started instead of fixing the problem. i can only run 3 days maximum before cleaning the stove. lots of clinkers, lots of ash, very dirty ash, glass gets completey black, and very low heat. I will never buy there pellets again and am consdering taking what i have left to the landfill.

Well by now I am sure you must have heard from Oak Hill Hardware from were I bought a few bags of Corinth Pellets from this year. in case you haven,t I will tell you this about two of the four bags that I bought. The first bag was OK but the next two were terrible. The pellet bags were full of sawdust I guess or it may have been crushed up pellets. The bag was full of it. I have a Mount Vernon Quadra Fire stove and those two bags would not burn in the stove. I had to vacuum out the stove and through out the bag. The next bag looked the same when I opened it so I did not put them in. I took them back to the store and they replaced it with two m ore bags. Those burned alright but I did not dare buy the two ton I was going to buy. I h ave tried another brand. While I like the fact that this brand seems to burn clean, they do not seem to burn with as much heat which of course is what we all want. I liked Corinth two years ago but I don,t trust them now.

I bought four bags of Corinth Pellets this year because I used them last year. I was going to buy two ton of them but after I had serious problems with what I think were wet pellets and bags full of smashed up pellets that would not burn I decided to buy something else. Corinth last year seemed to be good but not this year. I have bought a ton of Pennington from Sam,s in Scarborough and so far the only complaint I have is they seem not to have as much heat content as Corinth did. They have burned very clean, I haven,t seen much black or brown junk on my glass as I did last year.

Please call your retailer or the mill to set up an exchange, We have found that we did have some sporadic quality issues. We can get you set up with some really great pellets from this year.

We purchased the Corinth pellets last year, to do business loaclly, but did not use them until this year. We have a Lopi stove and we find that the pellets seem to have a harder time burning and take quite awhile to ignite and I find that we have to clean the stove more often. Shouldn't be the wood but we feel it may be whatever holds the pellets together creates havok with the glass. Brown stains are very difficutl to get off of the glass, even cleaning the stove and glass every day.
